Hal & Harper: Mark Ruffalo to Lead Indie Dramedy From Cooper Raiff
According to Deadline, Emmy winner Mark Ruffalo and Riverdale star Lili Reinhart have signed on for leading roles in the upcoming independent series titled Hal & Harper, which hails from Cha Cha Real Smooth director Cooper Raiff. The latter will also be leading the project to portray the role of Hal, while Reinhart takes on the role of his character’s sister Harper.
In addition to Ruffalo, Reinhart, and Raiff, No Exit’s Havana Rose Liu and StartUp’s Addison Timlin have also been cast for the respective roles of Abby and Audrey. As for the Marvel vet, he is expected to play the titular siblings’ father.
What to Expect in Hal & Harper?
Described as a passion project for Raiff, Hal & Harper is set to follow two siblings and a single dad, “who is making them grow up too fast — so fast that the 7- and 9-year-olds would be played by adult actors.” Further details about the project are still being kept under wraps.
The series is produced by Raiff and Clementine Quittner through their Small Ideas banner, along with Bad Bangs LLC. The project is one of the films and TV shows that were granted interim agreements by SAG-AFTRA. This agreement means that it is allowed to shoot during the ongoing actors strike.
