Rebel Moon Video Game Announced at Gamescom, First Details Revealed
During the opening conference of Gamescom 2023, director Zack Snyder detailed more information about the Rebel Moon video game that’s in the works from developer Super Evil Megacorp.
What do we know about the Rebel Moon video game?
Not too much was confirmed regarding the Rebel Moon video game, other than the fact that Snyder said it would take place after Rebel Moon Part Two: The Scargiver. During his time on stage, Snyder said that his plans are to turn Rebel Moon into a big franchise, complete with various other multimedia inclusions.
Super Evil Megacorp is best known for their work on a variety of mobile games, including Vainglory, Catalyst Black, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate. It’s unknown if the Rebel Moon video game will also be a mobile title, however.
Earlier this year, Snyder briefly spoke about the game, calling it an “RPG” and noting that it was “so immersive and so intense and so huge.” He also mentioned that the plan was for the game to be on “a ridiculous scale.”
Described as a fantasy epic, Rebel Moon is being directed by Snyder from a screenplay he is co-writing with Shay Hatten and Kurt Johnstad, based on a story by Snyder and Johnstad. It is produced by Deborah Snyder, Wesley Coller, and Snyder for The Stone Quarry along with Grand Electric’s Eric Newman. Sarah Bowen is executive producing for Grand Electric.
