Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Entertainment have pushed back the Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire release date for the highly anticipated blockbuster.

The Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire release date has been moved to April 12, 2024. It was originally set to come out a month earlier on March 15, 2024. Directed by Adam Wingard, the movie will star Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Kaylee Hottle, and Daniel Stevens.

“This latest entry follows up the explosive showdown of Godzilla vs. Kong with an all-new cinematic adventure, pitting the almighty Kong and the fearsome Godzilla against a colossal undiscovered threat hidden within our world, challenging their very existence – and our own,” reads the movie’s synopsis. “The epic new film will delve further into the histories of these Titans, their origins, and the mysteries of Skull Island and beyond, while uncovering the mythic battle that helped forge these extraordinary beings and tied them to humankind forever.”

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is the sequel to 2021’s Godzilla vs. Kong, which had the two titans clash with one another. It will be the latest movie in the MonsterVerse and is produced by Mary Parent, Alex Garcia, Eric McLeod, Brian Rogers, Thomas Tull, and Jon Jashni.
