Insidious: The Red Door Blu-Ray Release Date Confirmed for Smash Hit Sequel

The Insidious: The Red Door Blu-Ray and DVD release date has been revealed and you won’t have to wait too long to have the complete set of Insidious movies in your home.

The latest entry in the successful horror series starring Patrick Wilson will land on Blu-Ray and DVD on September 12. It’s available in a Blu-Ray/DVD combo pack, but there doesn’t appear to be a 4K release at this time.

Insidious: The Red Door saw Patrick Wilson make his directorial debut, and several original cast members such as Lin Shaye and Rose Byrne made a return. The Lambert family is back to finally end their demon problem once and for all in what is supposedly the final chapter in their story, if not the series itself.

The Red Door Opens to Box Office Success

The sixth entry in the series that began 15 years ago, Insidious: The Last Door also took the largest box office haul of the entire franchise. Netting a cool $186 million worldwide. Domestically, it is very close to the $83 million made by Insidious Chapter 2.

The Red Door is also one of the most successful horror films of 2023. Only the horror-adjacent shenanigans of Meg 2: The Trench have passed it so far. Impressive in a year that features great new Scream and Evil Dead movies, plus the runaway success of M3GAN.

A spinoff movie entitled Thread: An Insidious Tale has been planned, so we’ll be back in the World of Insidious again soon enough.
