Haunted Mansion 4K & Blu-ray Release Date, Special Features Revealed

Haunted Mansion is creeping its way onto 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD this October.

Coming just in time for Halloween, Disney announced Haunted Mansion is arriving on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on October 17, 2023. Having opened theatrically in the United States on July 28, 2023, the film first arrives on Disney+ and other digital platforms (including Prime Video, Apple TV, and Vudu/Fandango) on October 4.

The physical media release comes with a number of different special features, including exclusive featurettes about the making of Haunted Mansion and the various references to the Disney Parks’ attraction, deleted scenes, and a gag reel.

Disney also released a new Haunted Mansion spot celebrating the upcoming digital and Blu-ray releases on YouTube, which can be viewed below

What is Disney’s Haunted Mansion about?

“Inspired by the classic theme park attraction, Haunted Mansion tells the story of Gabbie (Rosario Dawson), a single mom, who discovers that the home she and her son share is haunted by irksome ghosts,” the official synopsis reads. “Hoping to restore domestic tranquility, Gabbie recruits a motley crew of so-called spiritual experts to help rid the house of the supernatural squatters. A non-stop blend of action, adventure and comedy featuring an all-star cast that includes LaKeith Stanfield, Tiffany Haddish, Owen Wilson, Danny DeVito, Dan Levy, Jamie Lee Curtis and Jared Leto, Haunted Mansion was written by Katie Dippold and directed by Justin Simien. The film’s producers are Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich, with Nick Reynolds and Tom Peitzman serving as executive producers.”

The second adaptation of Disney’s theme park attraction following the 2003 film of the same name starring Eddie Murphy, Haunted Mansion made approximately $105 million at the worldwide box office on an approximate $150 million budget.
