Spirit Halloween: The Movie Gets a Theatrical Release and Streaming Debut
America’s iconic seasonal superstore chain Spirit Halloween was turned into a horror movie last year. Still, it’s been absent from streaming services and never got a shot at a theatrical release. But those things both change soon.
Spirit Halloween: The Movie Release Date for Theatrical and Streaming Debut.
Firstly, Shudder will be the streaming home for Spirit Halloween: The Movie on October 2, 2023. Joining a growing lineup of horror debuts for that most haunted of months.
Then, Dazzler Media will give the film a theatrical release in select theaters on October 13, 2023. A DVD release follows on October 16, 2023. The movie had only previously been available on demand last October.
In Spirit Halloween: The Movie, three young boys travel to a Halloween store in a deserted strip mall. They head into the titular Spirit Halloween store on a mission to spend a night locked inside. However, their night turns sour as they’re haunted by Alec Windsor (played by Christopher Lloyd), a deceased man whose spirit has possessed the Spirit Halloween store.
David Poag directs the movie and stars Donovan Colan, Jaiden Smith, Dylan Martin Frankel, and Rachael Leigh Cook.
