Looney Tunes Is Not Leaving Max, the Streamer Confirms

It may not be “That’s all, folks” all along, as Max confirms the classic Looney Tunes shorts are not leaving the platform at the end of 2023. This comes after the streamer’s earlier press release stated that the beloved animated show will soon leave Max this December.

Max’s previous press release had incorrectly included the remaining Looney Tunes cartoons alongside titles leaving the streaming platform soon. That, of course, saddened fans, considering Max had already removed seasons 16 and 31 at the end of 2022.

The revised press release states, “Looney Tunes was included in error as a title leaving the platform. This is not the case and the show will continue streaming on Max.”

Max is currently home to the beloved cartoon’s 15 seasons, which were released from 1931 to 1964, and features fan-favorite characters including Porky Pig, Daffy Duck, Tweety, Sylvester the Cat, Yosemite Sam, Tasmanian Devil, Wile E. Coyote, Marvin the Martian, and the iconic Bugs Bunny.

What are the titles leaving Max soon?

While the remaining seasons of Looney Tunes staying on Max is good news, viewers may have to catch up with a slew of shows leaving the streamer soon. The Looney Tunes: Back in Action movie, which starred Brendan Fraser and Jenna Elfman, will be leaving the platform at the end of December, joining The Age of Adaline, the three Annabelle movies, Blade Runner 2049, the 1988 Child’s Play film, A Christmas Carol, A Cinderella Story, all five Final Destination installments, Jumanji, Kill Your Darlings, Law Abiding Citizen, and Misery, among many others.

Moreover, on the animated side, there are many titles leaving Max this year, including — to mention a few — The Ant Bully, DC Super Hero Girls: Hero of the Year, the two Happy Feet movies, LEGO Justice League: Gotham City Breakout, The Polar Express, Teen Titans Go! See Space Jam, and Tom & Jerry: The Movie.
