The Zone of Interest Trailer Unveils New Look at A24’s Historical Drama

A24 has dropped a brand new The Zone of Interest trailer for its forthcoming historical drama, which will be set during World War II.

The video continues to highlights the idyllic life of a German Nazi family, who are living next to the Auschwitz concentration camp. It also features some of the film’s early critical reactions. The film will arrive in select theaters on December 15.

What to expect in The Zone of Interest?

“The commandant of Auschwitz, Rudolf Höss, and his wife Hedwig, strive to build a dream life for their family in a house and garden next to the camp,” reads the synopsis.

Based on Martin Amis’ 2014 novel, The Zone of Interest is written and directed by Jonathan Glazer making his feature directorial comeback after a decade since directing 2013’s Under the Skin. The film stars Christian Friedel as the longest-serving commandant of the Auschwitz camp Rudolf Höss, Sandra Hüller as Hedwig Höss, Johann Karthaus as Klaus Höss, Nele Ahrensmeier as Inge-Brigitt Höss, Lilli Falk as Heidetraut Höss, and Medusa Knopf as Elfriede.
