Ray Romano Joins Netflix Show From Dead to Me Creator

Ray Romano has joined the Netflix show No Good Deed from Dead to Me creator Liz Feldman, which is described as a dark comedy that consists of eight episodes.

Per Deadline, the series is about three very different families that are contending to buy the same 1920s Spanish-style villa. They think it will solve all their problems. But the sellers discover that “sometimes the home of your dreams can be a total nightmare.”

Romano, a three-time Emmy winner who is best known for his lead role in Everybody Loves Raymond, in addition to shows like Parenthood and films like The Irishman, will portray Paul Morgan. The character is described as “constantly stressed and flat broke.” A contractor who is desperate to retire and pay off his debts, Paul would also like to escape Los Angeles. He thinks selling his beautiful home is the solution for him and his wife Lydia, but past mistakes continue to haunt him.

Feldman is the showrunner and executive producer alongside Will Ferrell and Jessica Elbaum for Gloria Sanchez Productions, as are Christie Smith and Silver Tree. Tree will also direct episodes of the show, including the pilot.

Along with his most famous roles, Romano recently co-wrote, directed, and starred in the movie Somewhere In Queens. The actor also recurred on Pete Davidson’s Peacock comedy series Bupkis and had a prominent supporting role on the Max dramedy Made for Love.
