Bill Hader Reveals Favorite Movies of 2023
With 2023 officially over, many are sharing their favorite movies and other projects of the year. In a recent poll from IndieWire, director and actor Bill Hader shared his favorite movies of the year, ranging from blockbuster hits to independent darlings.
IndieWire polled 38 high-profile directors on their favorite projects, and Hader’s list contains big-name films like Anatomy of a Fall (“That couple fighting in the kitchen was so well written, directed, and acted I thought I was going to have a panic attack. And Milo Machado Graner’s performance is beautiful.”), and even early 2023 horror film Evil Dead Rise (“I’m a sucker for “The Evil Dead” movies. I’ll never look at a cheese grater the same again.”)
Also included on Hader’s list are Hayao Miyazaki’s The Boy and the Heron, the hit A24 horror film Talk to Me, and Martin Scorsese‘s Killers of the Flower Moon. While Hader is primarily known for his work as an actor, he has directed a handful of projects, most notably many episodes in the hit HBO series Barry, which he co-created with Alec Berg.
