Rachel Brosnahan Describes Superman: Legacy’s Lois Lane as ‘Fiercely Intelligent’
Superman: Legacy star Rachel Brosnahan gave out some details about what sort of character Lois Lane will be in the upcoming DC Universe movie.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight at the Critics Choice Awards, Brosnahan described how enjoyable the process of making Superman: Legacy thus far has been, then spoke about her version of Lois Lane.
“I’ve really enjoyed the collaboration with James Gunn so far,” Brosnahan said. “Every single person involved in this production is such a perfect nerd for Superman. We all grew up watching the movies. Some of us grew up reading the comics. So I feel like it’s being made with so much love. I think this Superman will have a sense of humor … I’m rolling through my brain all the things I’m not allowed to say, but we’re excited to both put our own spin on things, but also honor this material that we all love so much.”
When directly asked what three adjectives she would use to describe her version of Lane, the actress replied that the character will be “Feisty, dare I say marvelous, and fiercely intelligent.”
Who is starring in Superman: Legacy?
The titular role in Superman: Legacy is being played by David Corenswet (Pearl, The Politician), while Lois Lane will be played by The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel star Rachel Brosnahan. They’re joined by Nicholas Hoult, Skyler Gisondo, María Gabriela De Faría, Sara Sampaio, Isabela Merced, Nathan Fillion, Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, and more. The DC Universe’s first phase, called Chapter One: Gods and Monsters, will feature a multitude of different movies and television shows. A few of the announced projects include a Batman and Robin-focused movie called The Brave and the Bold, a Supergirl movie titled Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, a Swamp Thing film, and multiple TV shows.
