FX has dropped a brand new Feud: Capote vs. The Swans trailer for the upcoming return of Ryan Murphy’s hit anthology drama.

The video features Tom Hollander’s Truman Capote as he befriends New York City’s most influential women in an attempt to elevate his career. It highlights his betrayal as he unveils their scandalous secrets. The limited series will debut on January 31, on FX and Hulu.

What is Feud: Capote vs the Swans about?

“Acclaimed writer Truman Capote surrounded himself with a coterie of society’s most elite women – rich, glamorous socialites who defined a bygone era of high society New York – whom he nicknamed ‘the swans.'” reads the synopsis. “Beautiful and distinguished, the group included grande dame Barbara “Babe” Paley, Slim Keith, C.Z. Enchanted and captivated by these doyennes, Capote ingratiated himself into their lives, befriending them and becoming their confidante, only to ultimately betray them by writing a thinly veiled fictionalization of their lives, exposing their most intimate secrets. Set during the 1970s, Feud: Capote vs. Swans is based on Laurence Leamer’s bestselling book Capote’s Women: A True Story of Love, Betrayal, and a Swan Song for an Era. It revolves around the fall out between Capote and the six socialite women who originally considered him as a friend.
