Universal Pictures has officially tapped four young actors to join the upcoming live-action How to Train Your Dragon movie, which is currently in production.

Per Variety, Deadpool 2 alum Julian Dennison, Gabriel Howell (Bodies), Browyn James (Masters of the Air), and Harry Trevaldwyn (The Bubble) have been cast for the respective roles of Fishlegs, Snotlout, Ruffnut, and Tuffnut. The said characters were originally voiced by Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Jonah Hill, Kristen Wiig, and T.J. Miller in the blockbuster animated franchise.

Who’s involved in the live-action How to Train Your Dragon movie?

Based on Cressida Cowell’s children’s book series of the same name, the live-action How to Train Your Dragon movie is written, directed, and produced by Dean DeBlois. The film will be led by The Black Phone’s Mason Thames as Hiccup and The Last of Us’ Nico Parker as Astrid. They will be joined by Gerard Butler’s Stoick the Vast and Nick Frost’s Gobber the Belch. Butler also played Hiccup’s Viking father in the animated franchise.

“For more than a decade, DreamWorks Animation’s epic animated film trilogy about the friendship between a young man and his dragon has moved, inspired, and delighted audiences worldwide,” Universal Pictures said in a statement. “Now, a new live-action adaptation of the blockbuster How to Train Your Dragon franchise will transport audiences for the first time into a new cinematic experience and a bold, thrilling new chapter in the beloved story of Viking Hiccup and his Night Fury dragon, Toothless.”

The story centers around Hiccup, a young aspiring inventor who wants to make his Viking father proud by becoming a dragon slayer. However, things don’t go as planned when Hiccup finds himself unexpectedly forming a bond with a Night Fury dragon. Following the success of the 2010 film, it was followed by two more sequels which all received critical acclaim in multiple Oscar nominations including Best Animated Feature. It was also a box office success, with a combined worldwide gross of over $1.6 billion.
