Crew Member Dies After Marvel’s Wonder Man Set Accident, Statement Issued

It has been reported that a cast member has died on the set of Marvel’s upcoming Wonder Man series ahead of production next month.

Deadline has stated that a rigger died this morning on the set of Wonder Man at CBS Radford Studios. The outlet reports that the rigger fell off the rafters and unfortunately passed away as a result.

“Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with his family and friends, and our support is behind the investigation into the circumstances of this accident,” Marvel Studios said in a statement.

Wonder Man’s filming is set to begin next month after being delayed as a result of last year’s entertainment industry strikes. The Disney+ series will be led by Emmy winner Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams/Wonder Man. In addition to Abdul-Mateen, the Wonder Man cast includes Demetrius Grosse as Eric Williams/Grim Reaper, Ben Kingsley as Trevor Slattery, Ed Harris as Neal Saroyan, Lauren Glazier, and Josh Gad.
