Untitled Bridesmaids Comedy Movie in the Works at Sony

According to Deadline, Sony Pictures is currently developing an untitled bridesmaids comedy movie with I’m Sorry executive producers Andrea Savage and Joey Slamon attached to pen the screenplay. At the moment, the project is still in the stages of development.

What will the untitled comedy be about?

“The film follows two bridesmaids at destination wedding in a far-off overseas location who both hate their best friend’s fiancé. They make some questionable choices in the hopes of getting him out of the picture,” reads the initial synopsis.

The untitled bridesmaid comedy will be directed by Savage. This marks her feature-length directorial debut after directing several episodes of TruTV’s romantic comedy series I’m Sorry, which only lasted for two seasons. In addition to creating and writing the sitcom, Savage also led the cast alongside Tom Everett Scott and Kathy Baker. She has also had recurring roles in TV shows such as Veep, iZombie, and Tulsa King.
