Ariel Teaser Trailer Previews Animated Musical Little Mermaid Series

Disney has unveiled the first teaser trailer for its upcoming animated preschool series Ariel, which will premiere on Disney Junior later this summer.

The series will follow Ariel’s childhood adventures in Atlantica, and serve as a reimagining of sorts on The Little Mermaid franchise. This will come complete with different iterations of some iconic characters.

What is Ariel about?

Similar to other early childhood programming, the series will see Ariel exploring the world around her and solving problems with items she finds. Early reports from the series’ announcement noted that while making discoveries, Ariel’s tail may also change colors, and can change depending on her emotions. This will likely factor into the show as a way to teach children as well.

“Full of charm, big ideas and a powerful voice, Disney Junior’s Ariel is coming into her own, learning how to discover and appreciate the world around her and use her voice to inspire others,” reads the official synopsis for the series.
