Trap House: It’s Sophia Lillis, Better Call Saul’s Tony Dalton Join Dave Bautista Action Movie

Sophia Lillis, Tony Dalton, and more have joined the cast of Trap House, a new action movie starring Dave Bautista.

Per Deadline, Lillis (It, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves) and Dalton (Better Call Saul, Hawkeye) have both joined the cast of Trap House, which is being directed by Michael Dowse.

The film will also star Jack Champion (Avatar: The Way of Water, Scream VI), Kate del Castillo (Bad Boys for Life), Whitney Peak (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Gossip Girl), Bobby Cannavale (Ant-Man and the Wasp, Jungle Cruise), Inde Navarrette (Superman and Lois, 13 Reasons Why), Zaire Adams (Freeridge), and Blu del Barrio (Star Trek: Discovery).

What is Trap House about?

The movie, according to Deadline, “follows an undercover DEA agent and his partner who embark on a game of cat and mouse with an audacious group of thieves: their own rebellious teenagers, who have begun robbing a dangerous cartel, using their parents’ tactics and top-secret intel to pull off their heists.”

Dowse worked with Bautista on 2019’s Stuber, which co-starred Kumail Nanjiani. Dowse has also previously directed 2011’s Take Me Home Tonight, 2011’s Goon, 2013’s The F Word, 2020’s Coffee & Kareem, and 2021’s 8-Bit Christmas, among other titles.

Trap House is written by Gary Scott Thompson (The Fast and the Furious) and Tom O’Connor (The Hitman’s Bodyguard). Marc Goldberg, Sarah Gabriel, Michael Pruss, and Rebecca Feuer are producing the film, while Ridley Scott, Bautista, Jonathan Meisner, and Todd Lundbohm serve as executive producers.

The movie is also financed and executive produced by Christian Mercuri’s Capstone Studios, Signature Entertainment, Richard Kondal’s Creativity Media, Koala, Simon Williams, and Joe Simpson.

Trap House is expected to begin filming in April 2024. The film does not yet have an official release date.
