Ahead of Chucky’s return on April 10 with Season 3: Part 2, series star Jennifer Tilly — who plays Tiffany Valentine — teased what audiences can expect from the upcoming episodes, including some “insane” scenes and the appearance of legendary filmmaker John Waters.

While the first half of the third season concluded with quite a revelation, Tilly told BloodyDisgusting that the second part will be just as good — with Waters portraying “a creepy doll maker,” no less.

“I have to tell you, the second half is batshit crazy. It’s insane. We have John Waters coming in. He plays the creepy doll maker that created Chucky. Who better? What better casting? Who else could play the creepy doll maker that created Chucky besides John Waters?! Who we adore. John Waters played a character in Seed of Chucky, the pervy paparazzi. He’s never played the kindly father. I don’t know what, something about John, he’s got that extra zhuzh-zhuzh that he can play these parts so well. He loves Chucky and the Chucky franchise,” said Tilly.

Apart from Waters playing a significant part in the original films, Tilly also served as the original voice for Tiffany Valentine in the 1998 Bride of Chucky, marking the Chucky series as her sweet return as the gothic doll.

“There are a lot of surprises, and I’m sure you’ve seen from the trailer that Brad Dourif comes back, and he plays the living Charles Lee Ray. How he does that, you’ll have to see. But it’s pretty spectacular. We were all so thrilled to have Brad Dourif, Oscar-nominated Brad Dourif, in the flesh doing Chucky. I think the fans are going to love that,” Tilly added.

Will there be more Chucky projects in the future?

The good guy doll, according to series creator Don Mancini, will be receiving another big screen treatment. Just a few days ago, Mancini revealed that he’s in ”the early stages of working on a new Chucky movie,” which could help continue the show’s story seamlessly.

The official synopsis for the Chucky series reads: “After a vintage Chucky doll turns up at a suburban yard sale, an idyllic American town is thrown into chaos as a series of horrifying murders begin to expose the town’s hypocrisies and secrets. Meanwhile, the arrival of enemies — and allies — from Chucky’s past threatens to expose the truth behind the killings, as well as the demon doll’s untold origins.”

The cast members also include Zackary Arthur, Björgvin Arnarson, Alyvia Alyn Lind, Sarah Sherman, Nia Vardalos, and more.

Chucky Season 3, Part 2 premieres on Syfy and USA Network on April 10.
