UCL: They have collective mechanisms – Mikel Arteta names offensive team

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has named Bayern Munich as a really ‘offensive team’ in the UEFA Champions League this season.

Speaking ahead of Arsenal’s Champions League quarter-final first leg clash with Bayern Munich on Tuesday night at Emirates, Arteta said the Bundesliga giants have collective mechanisms.

“It’s not only in the individual quality that they have, the collective mechanisms, they are a really offensive team,” Arteta told TNT Sports.

“You can see that, you look at the stats and what they generate, so it will put a question mark on us.”

He added, “We have worked obviously and we will try to deliver our best possible performance to avoid that happening because we know how important that is.”
