A Family Affair Trailer Starring Zac Efron, Nicole Kidman, & Joey King

Netflix has dropped the official A Family Affair trailer for its newest romantic comedy starring Golden Globe nominee Joey King as a young woman who gets the shock of her life when she finds out that her movie star boss is dating her mother.

Also starring Nicole Kidman (Big Little Lies) and Zac Efron (The Iron Claw), the film will be available for streaming on June 28, 2024. This marks a reunion between Kidman and Efron, after previously starring together in 2012’s The Paperboy.

“A surprising romance kicks off comic consequences for a young woman, her mother and her movie star boss as they face the complications of love, sex, and identity,” reads the official synopsis.

Who’s involved in A Family Affair?

A Family Affair is directed by Richard LaGravenese (Living Out Loud, Freedom Writers) from a screenplay written by Carrie Solomon. The ensemble cast will also feature Kathy Bates, Liza Koshy, Shirley MacLaine, Sherry Cola, Olivia Macklin, Wes Jetton, Ian Gregg, Sarah Baskin, and more. It is executive produced by Solomon, Michelle Morrissey and Alyssa Altman, with Joe Roth and Jeff Kirschenbaum set as producers.

Besides A Family Affair, Kidman will next be seen in Mimi Cave’s thriller drama Holland, Michigan with Matthew Macfadyen, and in Halina Reijn’s erotic thriller Babygirl with Antonio Banderas. As for King, she’s also currently attached for the leading role in the action fantasy film The Uglies from director McG. Meanwhile, Efron most recently starred in Prime Video’s raunchy comedy Ricky Stanicky from Peter Farrelly.
