A24 Sets Release Dates for 5 Movies Including We Live in Time & Heretic

Following the theatrical debuts of Civil War and I Saw the TV Glow, A24 has announced the release dates for its upcoming new movies.

Per Deadline, A24 officially has five movies set to arrive in theaters during the third and fourth quarter of 2024. These include: the psychological horror movie The Front Room with Brandy Norwood; black comedy thriller A Different Man with Sebastian Stan; the romantic movie We Live in Time starring Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh; the horror thriller Heretic starring Hugh Grant; and the erotic thriller Babygirl with Nicole Kidman.

What are the theatrical release dates for the upcoming A24 movies?

Directed by The Egger Brothers, The Front Room is scheduled to hit theaters on September 6, 2024. The psychological thriller will see Brandy Norwood and Kathryn Hunter starring in a movie about a newly pregnant couple forced to take in an ailing stepmother who has long been estranged from the family. It will be based on Susan Hill’s short story of the same name, which is part of her 2016 novella The Travelling Bag and Other Ghostly Stories.

Set to arrive in select theaters on September 20, 2024, A Different Man is a black comedy thriller starring Sebastian Stan, Renate Reinsve, and Adam Pearson. The film’s official synopsis reads, “Aspiring actor Edward undergoes a radical medical procedure to drastically transform his appearance. But his new dream face quickly turns into a nightmare, as he loses out on the role he was born to play and becomes obsessed with reclaiming what was lost.” It had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival.

We Live in Time is the highly-anticipated team-up between Marvel stars and Oscar nominees Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh. The romantic drama will debut in select theaters on October 11, 2024. It follows the story of an up-and-coming chef, whose life changes forever after a chance encounter with a recent divorcée.

Set for a wide release on November 15, 2024, Heretic is a horror thriller movie from writer-directors Scott Beck and Bryan Wood. The film follows two young missionaries, who become ensnared in a deadly game of cat-and-mouse after they knock on the wrong front door. It stars Hugh Grant, Chloe East, and Sophie Thatcher.

From writer-director Halina Reijn, Babygirl is an erotic thriller set to premiere in theaters later this year on December 20, 2024. The film will be led by Nicole Kidman, Harris Dickinson, Antonia Banderas, and Sophie Wilde. It centers around a high-powered CEO who puts her life’s work on the line when she begins a torrid affair with her much younger intern.
