Jeremy Renner & Mila Kunis Join Knives Out 3 Cast for Wake Up Dead Man

The cast of Rian Johnson’s third entry in the Knives Out franchise continues to grow, with Jeremy Renner and Mila Kunis now set to star in Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery.

According to reports from Variety and Deadline, Renner and Kunis are set to join the projects quickly growing cast. As is the case with most of the cast of the Knives Out franchise, both actor’s roles are shrouded in mystery for now.

This week, Kerry Washington and Glenn Close were also reported to have joined the film, alongside Challengers’ Josh O’Connor, Civil War’s Cailee Spaeny, and Daniel Craig reprising his role as Benoit Blanc.

Renner is best known for his role as Hawkeye throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He has also starred in movies like S.W.A.T., 28 Weeks Later, The Hurt Locker, The Town, the Mission: Impossible franchise, and more. He currently stars in the Paramount+ series Mayor of Kingstown, as well.

For Renner, the project will also be the first movie he’s set to appear in following a snow plow accident that took place last year that left Renner hospitalized with blunt chest trauma and more than 30 broken bones.

Kunis is best known for her television roles in the hit comedy That ’70s Show, as well as the voice of Meg Griffin on FOX’s Family Guy. Most recently, Kunis starred in 2022’s Luckiest Girl Alive, and will star in the 2024 comedy film Goodrich alongside Micheal Keaton.

Plot details for Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery remain under wraps at this time. The movie is written and directed by Johnson, who made the two previous films in the franchise: 2019’s Knives Out and 2022’s Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.

Production on Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery is expected to begin shortly. The movie will be released in 2025.
