Towards Zero Cast Adds Anjelica Huston & More to Agatha Christie Mystery Series

Towards Zero, a three-part TV adaptation of the Agatha Christie novel, has added Oscar winner Anjelica Huston and others to its cast.

Who is in the Towards Zero Cast?

Per the BBC, Huston (Prizzi’s Honor) plays Lady Tressilian, with Oliver Jackson-Cohen (The Haunting of Hill House) as Nevile Strange, Ella Lily Hyland (Black Doves) as Audrey, and Mimi Keene (Sex Education) as Kay.

Jackie Clune (Motherland), Grace Doherty (Call the Midwife), Adam Hugill (Sherwood), Khalil Gharbia (Mary & George), Jack Farthing (Rain Dogs), Clarke Peters (The Wire), Matthew Rhys (The Americans), and Anjana Vasan (Black Mirror) round out the cast.

The official synopsis reads, “England, 1936. After a scandalous celebrity divorce, British tennis star Nevile Strange (Jackson-Cohen) and his ex-wife Audrey (Hyland) make the unthinkable decision to spend a summer together at Gull’s Point, their childhood home and the coastal estate of Nevile’s aunt, Lady Tressilian (Huston).”

“With unfinished business between the former childhood sweethearts, plus the presence of Nevile’s new wife Kay (Keene), tensions are running high. Add to this a long-suffering lady’s companion, a mysterious gentleman’s valet, an exiled cousin with a grudge, a venerable family lawyer, an inquisitive orphan and a French con man, and soon there will be murder. A troubled detective must rediscover his purpose to untangle a toxic web of jealousy, deceit and dysfunction. Can he solve the crime before another victim meets their death? Towards Zero is developed for television by Rachel Bennette (NW) and directed by Sam Yates (Magpie). The murder mystery series is a co-commission between the BBC and BritBox International. Mammoth Screen and Agatha Christie Limited will produce Towards Zero for BBC iPlayer and BBC One.

Filming on Towards Zero is now underway in and around Bristol and on the Devon coast. The series will air on BBC iPlayer and BBC One in the U.K. BritBox International’s streaming service will broadcast Towards Zero in the U.S. and Canada.
