Netflix’s Jurassic World: Chaos Theory Season 2 Renewed, Gets Surprising 2024 Release Window

Fans of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory will be thrilled to learn that Netflix has renewed the show for its second season. Furthermore, viewers need not wait for long as Season 2 will begin streaming much sooner than expected.

Jurassic World: Chaos Theory Season 2 renewed for fall 2024 release

The animated series is a sequel to Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, which ended after five seasons and an interactive special. Beginning to stream on May 24, Jurassic World: Chaos Theory ended with a cliffhanger and plenty of unanswered questions, which will soon be answered in the upcoming Season 2.

Fortunately for the fans, Netflix has offered it an early renewal as Season 2 was officially confirmed during the streamer’s animation blowout on Thursday. Furthermore, it was even allotted a Fall 2024 release window with a couple of shots revealed in Netflix’s preview trailer.

While a quick release may be surprising for many, it’s in line with Netflix’s release pattern of Camp Cretaceous. The first season of Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous hit Netflix in the fall of 2020. Following that, the streamer launched three seasons in 2021, and the last season in mid-2022. Similarly, multiple seasons of Chaos Theory could be launched in 2024. Whether it follows a similar release pattern with future seasons in 2025 and beyond remains to be seen.

Set six years after Camp Cretaceous, the official synopsis of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory reads:

“The Camp Cretaceous gang comes together to unravel a mystery when they discover a global conspiracy that brings danger to dinosaurs — and to themselves.“

Season 1 was created by Scott Kreamer and Zack Stentz. Meanwhile, the voice cast of the animated show includes Sean Giambrone as Ben Pincus and Paul-Mikél Williams as Darius Bowman. Others in the cast are Kausar Mohammed as Yasmina ‘Yaz’ Fadoula, Darren Barnet as Kenji Kon, Kiersten Kelly as Brooklynn, and Raini Rodriguez as Sammy Gutierrez.
