MaXXXine Clip Previews Kevin Bacon’s Role in A24 Horror Sequel

A new MaXXXine clip has been shown off, previewing Kevin Bacon‘s role in the upcoming third entry in Ti West‘s X film series.

The latest clip appeared on the most recent episode of Late Night with Seth Meyers, and showed off Bacon’s character meeting Mia Goth‘s Maxine Minx. In the clip, Bacon introduces himself and says he’s been tasked with finding Maxine.

Who does Kevin Bacon play in MaXXXine?

In the film, Bacon plays an as-of-yet unnamed private investigator, tasked with finding Maxine. While it’s unknown who hired him to find her, it likely has something to do with Maxine’s family, as 2022’s X revealed that Minx was the daughter of a popular television evangelist.

MaxXxine takes place in 1985 with Mia Goth reprising her role of Maxine Minx from X. It picks up six years after the farmstead massacre of X. Maxine is now residing in LA and still striving to become a star in the acting world. But her chances are hampered by the fact people keep dying around her.

Elizabeth Debicki, Moses Sumney, Michelle Monaghan, Bobby Cannavale, Halsey, and Lily Collins join Mia Goth in MaXXXine. Giancarlo Esposito and Kevin Bacon also have roles.

Yesterday, it was revealed that ahead of the release of MaXXXine next month, a sneak peek of the movie will be shown after a one-night-only theatrical rerelease of West’s first film in the trilogy X.
