Peacemaker Season 2 Cast Adds Tim Meadows and Superbad Director

Tim Meadows has joined the cast of Peacemaker Season 2.

On Instagram, James Gunn announced that Meadows will play an ARGUS agent named Langston Fleury in the second season of Peacemaker.

Deadline also reports that Greg Mottola will direct a handful of episodes for Peacemaker’s sophomore outing. Mottola is known for directing 2007’s Superbad with Jonah Hill, Michael Cera, and Seth Rogen. He has also previously directed 2009’s Adventureland, 2011’s Paul, 2016’s Keeping Up with the Joneses, and 2022’s Confess, Fletch, in addition to episodes of Arrested Development, The Comeback, The Newsroom, and Dave.

Meadows was a cast member on Saturday Night Live from 1991 to 2000. He’s appeared in numerous television shows over the years, along with movies such as 2004’s Mean Girls, 2007’s Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, 2010’s Grown Ups, 2016’s Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping, and 2023’s Dream Scenario, among others.

What else do we know about Peacemaker Season 2?

Peacemaker Season 2 will be part of Gunn and Peter Safran’s forthcoming DCU. It will see John Cena reprise his role as Christopher Smith alongside Danielle Brooks as Leota Adebayo, Freddie Stroma as Adrian Chase/Vigilante, Jennifer Holland as Emilia Harcourt, and Steve Agee as John Economos.

Additionally, Frank Grillo will appear as Rick Flag Sr. in Peacemaker Season 2; although, he’ll first voice an animated version of the character in Creature Commandos, which premieres this coming December. It was also recently announced that Sol Rodríguez will play Sasha Bordeaux in the new Peacemaker season, while The Office’s David Denman has been cast in an undisclosed role.

Plot details for Peacemaker Season 2 remain under wraps at this time. Production on the new season began in April.
