Apartment 7A Trailer Previews Paramount+’s Rosemary’s Baby Prequel
Paramount+ has finally released the trailer for Apartment 7A, a highly anticipated Rosemary’s Baby prequel led by Golden Globe winner Julia Garner. The film aims to put Terry Gionoffrio — a character originally portrayed by Victoria Vetri — in the spotlight.
The upcoming prequel will reintroduce Terry from Roman Polanski’s 1968 horror classic, a recovering addict whom Rosemary Woodhouse (first played by Mia Farrow) met in the basement laundry room. Shortly after, Rosemary discovered Terry dead of an apparent suicide. She is believed to have jumped from the seventh-floor apartment.
What is in the Apartment 7A trailer?
The trailer for Apartment 7A opens with Garner’s Terry, who came to New York to achieve her dream of becoming a stage performer. However, an injury during a performance completely changed her life’s trajectory.
In an attempt to welcome a new chapter in her life, she moves into an apartment owned by the Castevets. She then realized the elderly couple were not what they appeared to be and that they may have done something horrible to the previous tenant. Per the official synopsis, Apartment 7A will explore “what happened in the apartment before Rosemary moved in.”
Though Terry didn’t last long in the original film, viewers will get a chance to see all the events leading up to her death once Apartment 7A hits Paramount+ on September 27. You can watch the trailer down below:
The film, rated R for “some violent content and drug use,” also stars Dianne Wiest as Minnie Castevet, Kevin McNally as Roman Castevet, Amy Leeson Rosemary, and Scott Hume as Guy Woodhouse. Joining them are Jim Sturgess, Marli Siu, Rosy McEwen, Andrew Buchan, and Kobna Holdbrook-Smith.
It is produced by John Krasinski, Allyson Seeger, Michael Bay, Andrew Form, and Brad Fuller, while Vicki Dee Rock and Alexa Ginsburg serve as executive producers.
Apartment 7A premieres on Paramount+ on September 27.
