Jurassic World Rebirth Wraps Filming, Producer Announces
Two years after the release of its last film, the Jurassic World franchise is now gearing up to return to the big screens with a fourth entry in the series. 2022’s Jurassic World Dominion marked the end of an era for the fan-favorite franchise, concluding the arc that featured Chris Pratt‘s lead. As such, a fourth installment was announced with a revamped cast at the beginning of 2024.
In a recent update, Jurassic World Rebirth producer Frank Marshall has revealed that his film has finished its filming stage. The movie, scheduled to come out in 2025, is now set to enter its post-production phase.
Frank Marshall confirms the end of production on Jurassic World Rebirth
Marshall announced the news via his Instagram with a post featuring a Jurassic World cap. He added a simple caption reading “That’s a wrap!” to confirm the news on Jurassic World Rebirth’s filming. Having completed its production phase, the film will now be rendered with all the necessary special effects.
The movie is being helmed by acclaimed filmmaker Gareth Edwards, who was added to the project in February 2024. Edwards is known for completing his films in an efficient and economical manner, having previously worked on 2014’s Godzilla and 2016’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
The movie also boasts a star-studded lineup in front of the camera. Set five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, the movie will feature Scarlett Johansson as the franchise’s new lead. Johansson’s Zora Bennett will be assisted by Jonathan Bailey, Mahershala Ali, Rupert Friend, Ed Skrein, and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, among others. The film also marks the comeback of Jurassic Park screenwriter David Koepp to the franchise. Meanwhile, Marshall, who served as a producer in Steven Spielberg’s original 1993 flick, also returns in the same capacity.
Jurassic World Rebirth is set to come out in theatres on July 2, 2025.
