Melissa Barrera & Brian d’Arcy James Join Simu Liu’s Peacock Series Cast

Simu Liu‘s upcoming series on Peacock is set to have a star-studded cast. It features big names like Melissa Barrera, Sinclair Daniel, and more.

The series, which has been described as an action thriller, was announced by Peacock in February 2024. Starring Simu Liu as the main lead, James Wan is also attached to the series.

According to a report by Deadline, the upcoming action thriller on Peacock is set to have stars from projects like 13 Reasons Why, In the Heights, City on a Hill, and The Affair provide their expertise.

The stars who have bagged a role in the James Wan project are Melissa Barrera as Michelle, Brian d’Arcy James as John Moira, Sinclair Daniel as an intelligence officer, Parker, Kathleen Chalfant as St. George, and Mark O’Brien as an intelligence agent, Cobb. Simu Liu is set to portray the role of Alexander Hale, an American intelligence analyst.

Additionally, Thomas Brandon is leading the writing process of the show and is also the showrunner alongside Jennifer Yale. James Wan and the producer of the hit horror flick I Know What You Did Last Summer, Rob Hackett, are set to be the executive producers.

As per Variety, Peacock released the official synopsis of the series during the announcement in February which states, ”Five minutes in the future, a first-generation-American intelligence analyst Alexander Hale (Liu) realizes his brain has been hacked, giving the perpetrators access to everything he sees and hears. Caught between his shadowy agency and the unknown hackers, he must maintain a performance 24/7 to flush out who’s responsible and prove where his allegiance lies.”

The outlet further states that Peacock has not yet made an announcement of any official release window for the Simu Liu starrer.
