The Unraveling Trailer Sees Woman Haunted by Terrifying Presence in New Horror Movie

The Unraveling is a new horror movie directed by Kd Amond. Coming from The Horror Collective, the film stars Sarah Zanotti, Ali Alsaleh, and more.

What is The Unraveling about?

“After suffering a traumatic brain injury from a car accident, Mary Dunne is convinced that her husband, Grayson, has been replaced by an impostor,” the description of the movie reads. “She receives phone calls from an unknown caller who claims to be the ‘real Grayson,’ causing Mary to suspect that she’s living in a parallel universe with impostors who are gaslighting her and keeping her against her will. She’s also haunted by a gruesome presence that visits her frequently, making her question her own sanity. The ‘real Grayson’ tries to convince Mary to move on with her life and accept her new reality, but Mary can’t let go of the feeling that she’s not safe. Tensions reach a breaking point when Mary finds out she is pregnant with the supposed impostor’s baby.”

Zanotti and Amond wrote the script for The Unraveling. They also both serve as producers alongside Brad Bohannan and Nichole Marie Lim. In addition to Zanotti and Alsaleh, The Unraveling stars Bohannan, Destiny Danielle, Heather Lannan, Katherine Morgan, Moiba Mustapha, Sam Brooks, and Seth Dunlap.

Along with a number of short films, Amond directed Five Women in the End, which was released in 2019. She followed that up with 2020’s Rattled and 2021’s Faye, both of which also starred Zanotti. Amond has also worked in various capacities on titles such as Fox’s Scream Queens, 2015’s The Big Short, 2015’s Terminator Genisys, and 2017’s Baywatch.
