More on Zendaya’s Role in New Christopher Nolan Movie Emerges
Zendaya’s role in Christopher Nolan’s next movie reportedly won’t be a very big one.
Nolan is currently working on a new, still untitled movie for Univeral Pictures that will be released in 2026. Official plot details remain under wraps at this time; however, it was announced that it will star Tom Holland and Matt Damon.
Just last week it was also announced that Anne Hathaway, who previously worked with Nolan on 2012’s The Dark Knight Rises and 2014’s Interstellar, and Zendaya had also joined the cast of the movie.
What do we know about Zendaya’s role in Christopher Nolan’s new movie?
According to Jeff Sneider’s The InSneider, Zendaya won’t be in very much of Nolan’s next movie. His sources say that her role is only a “little more than a cameo,” meaning she will only “be in his new film for just a few minutes.”
The news comes shortly after there were conflicting reports of how Zendaya’s role in Nolan’s movie would impact Euphoria Season 3. Sneider reported that the third season of the HBO series was “in danger,” as Zendaya also has obligations to film Spider-Man 4 and Jacob Elordi will be going into production on Wuthering Heights in Q1 2025.
HBO, however, has denied reports that Euphoria Season 3 won’t happen. A representative, via The Independent, recently said, “Euphoria is going in to production in 2025. Nothing has changed.”
The next movie from Nolan — who is coming off the Oscar-winning Oppenheimer starring Cillian Murphy — will utilize a never-before-seen kind of IMAX technology when it graces movie theaters. IMAX CEO Richard Gelond recently said that his teams have been hard at work developing this technology for the past year.
Nolan’s next movie currently has a July 17, 2026, release date from Universal Pictures.
