F.L.Y. Trailer Previews Queer Romance Movie About Aspiring Drag Superstar
F.L.Y. is a new queer romance movie about two people, one of whom is an aspiring drag superstar, that find themselves in a messy situation after they get stuck together at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Coming from Breaking Glass Pictures. The film, which is directed and written by Rafael Albarran and Trent Kendrick, will be released this coming December.

What is F.L.Y. about?
“F.L.Y. is a slice-of-life comedy about two exes, Max and Rafael, who get stuck quarantined together at the onset of the COVID pandemic,” the official synopsis reads. “Having not seen each other in five years and with a new boyfriend in tow, things get off to a rocky start as Max navigates the situation with Raf, who just moved to LA with the dream of becoming the next drag superstar.”
In addition to writing and directing the film, Trent Kendrick stars as Max in F.L.Y. while Rafael Albarran plays Rafael. The cast also includes Pixie Aventura as Pixie, Alexeev Dismuke as Hunter, Torrey B. Lawrence as John, and Michael Vaccaro as Michael.
Breaking Glass Pictures CEO Rich Wolff said about F.L.Y. in a statement, “F.L.Y. is a heartfelt and hilarious reminder of the unexpected connections that shape us, blending comedy, romance, and the resilience of the human spirit during an unprecedented time.”
Albarran and Kendrick additionally serve as producers on F.L.Y. with Shiran Carolyn Miller, Caesar Osiris, and Vanessa Pantley. The movie, which has a 105-minute runtime, was previously shown at the Outfest Film Festival, FilmOut San Diego, Out on Film Atlanta, and the Puerto Rico Film Festival.
F.L.Y. has been given a December 10, 2024, release date from Breaking Glass Pictures.
