ComingSoon is excited to debut an exclusive Lake George clip from Magnet Releasing’s forthcoming crime thriller, starring Emmy nominee Carrie Coon (The Leftovers, The Gilded Age) and Shea Whigham (Boardwalk Empire). The film is scheduled to make its debut this Friday, December 6, in theaters and on digital.

“Tasked by mobsters with putting an end to Phyllis’ life, Don is unable to pull the trigger, and instead, the two set off on a road trip that evolves into something much more,” reads the film’s official synopsis. “Phyllis has designs of her own and proposes a little tag team action to Don: combine forces with the aim to steal all the money from the people who want her dead.”

What happens in the Lake George clip?

The video features Coon’s Phyllis, who gets kidnapped by Whigham’s Don. Phyllis tries to persuade Don to let her go in exchange for double the amount of money he’s going to make if he kills her. The cast also includes Max Casella as Harout, Glenn Fleshler as Armen, Ashley Fink as Nadja, Troy Metcalf as Artie, Joey Oglesby as Nick, Derek Phillips as Cory, and Keri Safran as Gloria.

Lake George is written and directed by Jeffrey Reiner. The creative team also includes director of photography Tod Campbell and editor Brian Beal. The film is executive produced by Michael Hillman, with Cleta Elaine Ellington, Bennett LeBarre, Joey Oglesby, and David DeGrow Shotwell serving as producers.
