Nautilus Release Date & Teaser Trailer Revealed for Captain Nemo AMC Show
AMC and AMC+ have shared the Nautilus release date and teaser trailer for the upcoming U.S. premiere of the fantasy drama based on Jules Verne‘s classic adventure novel Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea. This comes after more than a year since AMC acquired the U.S. rights to the show following its Disney+ cancellation.

When is the Nautilus release date?
Nautilus is scheduled to make its debut on Sunday, June 29 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on AMC and AMC+ with its first two episodes. Additional episodes will premiere weekly on Sundays until the thrilling two-episode season finale on Sunday, August 17.
Nautilus is written and executive produced by James Dormer, with Michael Matthews serving as its director. The series is led by Shazad Latif (Black Mirror) as the iconic Captain Nemo, Georgia Flood (Apples Never Fall) as Humility Lucas, Céline Menville (Emily in Paris) as Loti and Thierry Fremont (Liaison) as Benoit. Oscar nominee Richard E. Grant, Anna Torv, and Noah Taylor are also set to guest star. It is produced by Xavier Marchand, Anand Tucker, and Cameron Welsh, with Johanna Devereaux, Chris Loveall, Colleen Woodcock, and Daisy Gilbert serving as executive producers.
“The series follows Nemo’s (Latif) mission to enact revenge on the East India Mercantile Company, who took everything from him. Nemo audaciously steals a prototype submarine from the penal colony in which he is imprisoned, escaping into the ocean with a motley crew of fellow prisoners,” reads the official synopsis. “He plans to reach the fabled Viking treasure buried at the Pillars of Halvar. But first, he must win the trust of his crew, and keep out of the clutches of the ruthless East India Mercantile Company, who will do whatever it takes to stop him.”
