Ryan Phillippe Is a Former Nascar Mechanic in Motorheads Trailer
Amazon MGM Studios has shared the official Motorheads trailer for its newest coming-of-age action drama show starring Ryan Phillippe (Shooter, MacGruber). The series is scheduled to make its debut on May 20, 2025 on Prime Video.
“The series is about first love, first heartbreak, and turning the key in your first car. Set in a once-thriving rust-belt town that’s now searching for a glimmer of hope, the series is an adrenaline-filled story of a group of outsiders who form an unlikely friendship over a mutual love of street racing, while navigating the hierarchy and rules of high school,” reads the official synopsis.

What happens in the Motorheads trailer?
The video introduces siblings Zac and Caitlyn, as they moved to their parents’ hometown in hopes of learning more about their missing father, who was known as a legendary street car racer. With the help of their uncle, Zac will learn how to race in order to live up to his father’s legacy.
Motorheads is written and executive produced by showrunner John A. Norris. The ensemble cast also includes Nathalie Kelley (The Baker and the Beauty), Michael Cimino (Love, Victor), Melissa Collazo (One Of Us Is Lying), Uriah Shelton (Girl Meets World), Nicolas Cantu (The Walking Dead: The World Beyond), Drake Rodger (The Winchesters), Josh Macqueen (Significant Others), Mia Healey (The Wilds), Matt Lanter (90210), Audrey Gerthoffer (Party of Five), and Johnna Dias-Watson (Wednesday).
The series is executive produced by Neil Burger, Jason Seagraves, Ruben Fleischer, Keegan Rosenberger, Dana Brunetti, and Ryan Zaragoza, with Burger also directing the pilot. It is a production of Amazon MGM Studios.
