Paramount Pictures has dropped the official Smile 2 trailer for its upcoming supernatural horror thriller, which serves as the sequel to Parker Finn’s hit 2022 movie. It is currently scheduled to debut in theaters on October 18, 2024.

Who is in the Smile 2 trailer?

The new trailer shows Naomi Scott as a popstar who suddenly gets herself involved in a strange and creepy phenomenon, after witnessing a former classmate’s death. Besides Scott, the video also features Lukas Gage (Dead Boy Detectives), Dylan Gelula (Dream Scenario), Rosemarie DeWitt (Poltergeist), and Peter Jacobson (House).

“About to embark on a new world tour, global pop sensation Skye Riley (Scott) begins experiencing increasingly terrifying and inexplicable events,” reads the synopsis. “Overwhelmed by the escalating horrors and the pressures of fame, Skye is forced to face her dark past to regain control of her life before it spirals out of control.”

Smile 2 is once again written and directed by Finn. The first installment was based on his 2020 short film Laura Hasn’t Slept. It is produced by Finn, Marty Bowen, Wyck Godfrey, Isaac Klausner, and Robert Salerno. Additional cast includes Raúl Castillo, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Daphne Zelle, Zebedee Row, and A Nightmare on Elm Street alum Kyle Gallner.
