Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore Featurette Teases New Magical Creatures

Warner Bros. Pictures has dropped another featurette for its highly-anticipated Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, revealing new action-packed footage. The movie is slated to make its debut in theaters on April 15.

The video features commentaries by producer David Heyman, director David Yates, VFX supervisor Christian Manz, Eddie Redmayne, Jude Law, and Ezra Miller as they discuss some of the new and familiar magical creatures we should expect to see in the third installment. These include Credence’s Phoenix along with Teddy the Niffler and Pickett, who are both expected to assist Newt in his mission and become heroes in their own right.

“Professor Albus Dumbledore knows the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald is moving to seize control of the wizarding world,” reads the official synopsis. “Unable to stop him alone, he entrusts Magizoologist Newt Scamander to lead an intrepid team of wizards, witches, and one brave Muggle baker on a dangerous mission, where they encounter old and new beasts and clash with Grindelwald’s growing legion of followers. But with the stakes so high, how long can Dumbledore remain on the sidelines?”

Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore sees the return of Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, Katherine Waterston as Tina Goldstein, Dan Fogler as Jacob Kowalski, Alison Sudol as Queenie Goldstein, Ezra Miller as Credence, Jude Law as Albus Dumbledore, Jessica Williams as Professor Eulalie Hicks, and Callum Turner as Theseus, with Mads Mikkelsen as the new Gellert Grindelwald.

Additional cast includes Victoria Yeates as Bunty, William Nadylam as Yusuf Kama, Richard Coyle as Aberforth, Poppy Corby-Tuech as Vinda, Aleksandr Kuznetsov as Helmut, Oliver Masucci as Anton Vogel, Maria Fernanda Cândido as Vicência Santos, and Dave Wong as Liu Tao.

Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore is once again directed by David Yates from a screenplay written by J.K. Rowling and Steve Kloves. Producers are Heyman, Kloves, Rowling, Lionel Wigram, and Tim Lewis.
