Wonder Woman 3 Confirmed by Gal Gadot for James Gunn’s DC Universe
A Wonder Woman 3 movie has been confirmed for the DC Universe.
Gal Gadot has portrayed Diana Prince/Wonder Woman in the DCEU since Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. She has since appeared in two standalone films, Wonder Woman and Wonder Woman 1984, a crossover film with Justice League, and cameoed as the character in two 2023 superhero movies: Shazam! Fury of the Gods and The Flash.
With the announcement that James Gunn and Peter Safran were ending the DC Extended Universe and rebooting it with the DC Universe, many have wondered which characters will return in the new universe and who will be portrayed by their DCEU actors. Wonder Woman 3 was first announced in 2021 to be written and directed by Patty Jenkins, director of the first two films. But by 2022, it was announced that her Wonder Woman sequel would not be moving forward.
Will there be a Wonder Woman 3?
In a new interview with ComicBook.com, Gadot commented on the film while promoting her new Netflix movie Heart of Stone. “I love portraying Wonder Woman,” Gadot says. “It’s so close to and dear to my heart. From what I heard from James and from Peter is that we’re gonna develop a Wonder Woman 3 together.”
It is unknown when the release date is or how many more elements of the DCEU would be included in this film. However, it remains clear that we will be seeing more of Gal Gadot as the iconic Amazonian princess.
